My pc time is not updating
Once it returned a dialog saying something about there being no service associated, but now I can't get that dialog to come back. Thanks again to everyone here for being consistently smarter than Microsoft...If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start.
I've tried to restart my computer, but as soon as I log in the computer, it cycles back to the update that never installs. message ID=3151645#3151645 Endless update cycle --Submitted by john.ford1Samsung laptop, Windows 10, Avast antivirus, Emsisoft Antimalware, Windows Firewall This morning, the clock on my system tray stopped updating itself about an hour after I turned on the computer.Samsung laptop, Windows 10, Avast antivirus, Emsisoft Antimalware, Windows Firewall Try this: Navigate in 'Modern Settings' to the location in the screenshot, turn on 'Set time automatically' (1); if it is on, turn it off, click 'Change' (2) then 'Cancel' (3) then turn (1) back on. Well, I couldn't get Modern Settings to open by any of the available ways - nor could I open any of the 'modern' apps such as the calculator. When w32tm /resync is run, it tells the computer to synchronize its clock right away.We I ran this command I received the following error: The service has not been started. This post will tell you in detail how to schedule a task using Task Scheduler in Windows 10/8/7.The Group Policy settings correspond to the registry entries of the same name located in: W32or the Windows Time Service Tool can be used to configure Windows Time Service settings. It can also be used to diagnose problems with the time service.I tried dragging the taskbar around to see if it would refresh the clock - no.I have not yet rebooted, that might very well fix it at least temporarily - but I thought I'd ask if this is something people have already seen and solved by restarting a service or some such system fix.So the Windows Time service has to be started for this to work. Under Actions, you would have to choose Start a program .Using Task Scheduler Now if you were to create a task using the Task Scheduler, to run the Windows Time Service and this sync command on a daily basis, as a Local Service with highest privileges, you would be able to make your Windows computer synchronize your system time every day. The other settings you may choose as per your personal preferences.
